Today, while there are clinics and hospital mushrooming everywhere, the need of the hour is to groom well qualified and trained personnel. Hence, we at Faculty of Nursing KNIMT are dedicated to nurturing students who are, and will continue to be committed to the cause of health care.
The Faculty of Nursing in the Kamla Nehru Institute of Management & Technology (Code-635), Sultanpur has been established in the year 2009 with a vision to impart quality nursing education to increase the employability of Nurses in this region. The Institute is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and affiliated to State Medical Faculty, Lucknow (UP). The scenic beauty of lush green campus adds in motivating the students to study for the best education.

About Promoters

The promoting body of the Kamla Nehru Group of Institutions is Kamla Nehru Memorial Trust which was founded in 1973 under the dynamic leadership and dedication of Sri Kedar Nath Singh former minister in the Central Government (1971 to 1977) who lifelong struggled for the welfare and development of the people of eastern region of U.P. He conceived the need for imparting good quality of education by establishing educational institutions from primary level up to higher education in Arts, Science, Law, Commerce, Education, Agriculture, and Home Science with focused attention on technical and professional branches.
  The Faculty of Nursing is the latest in series to be established in the year 2009. These institutions have played a vital role in uplifting the young generation of U.P. in general and the eastern region in particular. 
There has been consistent vertical as well as horizontal growth in all the institutions with excellence in quality and high academic standard during last 35 years.
The management of the Kamla Nehru Group of institutions is presently headed by Sri Vinod Singh as Manager who is also the Hon’ble State Minister Tourism (independent charge) of the U.P. Govt. It is in fact his dynamic leadership and initiative that 4 professional institutions viz Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Management Studies and Nursing Science together with allied faculties like physical Education, Computer Education, Biotechnology and other subjects have grown with tremendous pace and progress during last 11 years.

Objective

The students are prepared with a sound educational programme in Nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings. Further, the students are prepared to develop an ability to co-operate and coordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.
